TEACHING

My teaching is versatile and wide-ranging, playful yet rigorous. I focus on what people want to learn and what will challenge them as they open themselves up to possibility.

I teach writing by way of workshops, university courses, or just around kitchen tables. And I work with people wherever they are: in elementary schools, secondary schools, universities, libraries, and long-term nursing care facilities.

I offer workshops in fiction writing, poetry, and non-fiction writing.

EDITING

I have edited poetry and fiction manuscripts. I’ve also edited trade books and academic books. I do both substantive edits and copy edits.
